How do I know if my problem is a good fit for this practice?
The clearest signal is that your team has the information it needs but keeps deferring the decision, or keeps making decisions that do not stick. If the problem is primarily technical, legal, or financial, this practice is probably not the right fit and Amelia will say so on the first call.
Do you work with companies outside Ontario and Quebec?
Yes, remotely. Most of the work happens asynchronously anyway. In-person sessions are available in Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa without a travel surcharge. For other locations, travel costs are added to the scope at cost.
What does the introductory call actually involve?
It is thirty minutes, free, and not a sales call. Amelia will ask about the problem, explain what a scoped engagement might look like, and tell you honestly if this is not the right fit. You do not need to prepare anything in advance.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes. For engagements over CAD 5,000, a fifty percent deposit is due at signing and the remainder is invoiced at the midpoint of the engagement. Quarterly and monthly retainers are invoiced at the start of each period. Payment is accepted by e-transfer or credit card.
What happens if the scope changes mid-engagement?
Scope changes are discussed before any additional work begins. If the problem turns out to be larger or different from what was scoped, Amelia will outline what an extension would involve and what it would cost. Nothing is added to the invoice without a written agreement.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Typically two to four weeks for a new engagement, depending on current capacity. The introductory call can usually be scheduled within a week. If the practice is at capacity, you will be told on the first call and given an honest estimate of when a slot will open.
